Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tutku Eker İşcioğlu Delivers Presentation on “The Importance of Vocational Training for Sustainable Port Operations and Greenport Alliances”

As part of Pilots’ Week, held from May 12 to 16, the Turkish Maritime Pilots’ Association organized a panel titled “Steering the Course Toward Safety.” The panel featured presentations by Capt. Nildeniz Sütçü Şen, President of the Turkish Maritime Pilots’ Association; Capt. Simon Pelletier, President of the International Maritime Pilots’ Association; and Capt. Arie Palmers, representative of the European Maritime Pilots’ Association. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tutku Eker İşcioğlu presented the Greenport Alliances project, coordinated by Piri Reis University, to pilotage service stakeholders.

The “Industry Report,” one of the project’s outputs to date, was shared with participants. Their feedback will help shape the content of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) program, one of the project’s main goals.
