assessing Europe’s transition to competitive green maritime fuels
ship dismantling and recycling processes
diversity-focused leadership approaches
decarbonization of the sector through the role of the human factor beyond technology

The summit brought together leading figures from the maritime sector, including the partners of the Greenport Alliances project. Piri Reis University, the project coordinator, was represented by Prof. Dr. M. Taner Albayrak, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tutku Eker İşcioğlu and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kenan Tata. At the summit, Dr. İşcioğlu presented to maritime sector stakeholders the progress and achievements of the Greenport Alliances project over the past year. Emphasizing the power of the human factor alongside technological advances, the presentation highlighted both the technical and strategic dimensions of the transformation underway in the sector. Contributing to a sustainable future for the industry, the project is of great importance for reducing environmental impacts and reaching green transformation goals within the European maritime ecosystem.

As a result of the high-visibility promotion carried out as coordinator of the Greenport Alliances Project, our university has received requests from many institutions for new project collaborations.
