Love for the Sea and Environmental Awareness Came Together at the “Meeting the Turquoise” Festival!

The “Turkuazla Buluşma” Festival, organized by Piri Reis University in collaboration with Tuzla Municipality as part of the Learn4Sea Project, was a lively festival where awareness and learning went hand in hand through a full program of activities. It brought together strong inter-institutional collaboration and the goal of building ocean awareness among young generations.

With the valuable contributions of the Ship Brokers Association, the Turkish Yacht Captains and Crew Association, Volunteer Search and Rescue at Sea (DAK/SAR) and the Maritime Culture Association, educational and inspiring activities were held on protecting the seas, maritime awareness and a sustainable future.

Through workshops and hands-on activities prepared by our university’s student clubs, middle school students enjoyed a fun-filled day. At the same time, they gained awareness about protecting the seas and took part in a learning journey of discovery, experience and inspiration.

We continue to raise awareness for future generations who will care for the seas.
