Hot water is produced for use in sinks and showers with 120 solar panels located on the roof of Block D3 of our university campus. The anticipated production calculation of solar panels is as follows;
Hot water will be supplied by solar panels on the roof
Total building domestic hot water requirement ………….: 10,586 l / hour
Solar panels hot water capacity ………….: 11,000 l/h
Solar panels hot water heating capacity: (11,000 / 3600) x4.18x (45-10) = 447 kW
Total heating capacity of the building = 3.703 kW 447 / 3.703 = total heating capacity of the building 0.12
Solar panels supply: 12%
Projected water use estimate 18.25 m³ / person / year
